Floppy Hat

All though floppy hats have been in style for forever, the recent comeback has been booming and it seems that it is here to stay. I first noticed a strength in the trend last Summer when I would go to the beach. Later, it continued into the Fall, which was when I fell in love them. I loved the combination of a floppy hat with dark outfits, and berry/deep plum lips and nails. I can't wait to see how they will be styled this spring!

Floral Print

I've always loved floral print but my obsession has been growing and growing as of lately! The weather in NYC has got me pretty bummed out lately (physically and emotionally) but I can't wait for spring and summer to rock some floral print. Most people are still on the flannel/plaid shirt trend but it's all about the floral, am I right?! Haha.

Does anyone else share my floral print obsession? Hope so!

DIY Flower Heart

Hello, I will be showing how I made a flower heart. I'm not sure if this has been done before, but I hope someone finds it useful.

Materials:
  • Fake flowers from any dollar store
  • A metal clothes hanger
  • A hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Scissors
  • Ribbon

First, unbend the hanger, then bend it into a heart shape. It doesn't have to be perfect. (The shape won't show through the flowers once they're glued)
Next, take the flowers off the stems

(This photo does not belong to me, credit has been given)

Once you take the flowers off the stems, you can begin gluing

Then you can add a ribbon or if not, you are done

Notes:
  • The flowers didn't stick on well with just applying glue to the bottom of the flower. I added a bit of glue to the back of the hanger as well.
  • If you have gaps and the metal wire shows through, I cut off leaves from the stems and glued them around the flowers to fill the spaces.

ELF Makeup Mist & Set

Hello! On Sunday, I went to Target and saw this setting spray by E.L.F. and I've always wanted the MAC Fix+, but I rarely wear heavy make up and I rarely need my make up to last long, so I don't see it as a must have for $21. The ELF one was only $3 which is pretty cheap for its quality and it's worth it for something I probably won't use often.
Now, I have never used Fix+ or any setting spray but this stuff works! It is now 10pm and my make up has not budged. Usually my eyeliner transfers onto my crease and my wing smudges, or my eyebrows smudge off a bit, but everything has stayed in place.

Pictured below are the products I used and the shade of NYX lipstick as well as the Eyebrow Cake Power

I forgot to shoot my face products but I will list them:
Victoria Jackson Terra Glow Bronzer
Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer in the shade 1W Light (Warm)
Sheer Cover Mineral Foundation in the shade Buff
Neutrogena Liquid foundation in the shade Natural Beige

What do you think about this ELF setting spray? Has anyone else tried it? I would love some feedback.
Thank you for reading
